July 19th 2016:
Aprox 9:45PM – To our surprise, and to the chagrin of the mayor of Glen Cove, three of his own city council members voted against the change in the tax apportionments and when doing so voiced their disagreement with the Bond proposal. “It’s just not a good deal for the citizens of Glen Cove,” concluded one dissenter.
We’d like to thank the three council members for their courage under tremendous pressure. In the past it seems like there has been a rubber-stamping mentality on may of these important votes. Thank you for thinking this through and putting our residents’ future first.
